This week was full of lots of hard work. We fully transformed the ground floor of the resource center from a trash heap into a paved foundation. Monday we started mixing concrete, which involved layering of sand, cement, and gravel. Water is poured over the layers and is mixed in with shovels, before the wet cement is moved to the mold. After three days of hard work, persevering through our water being cut off, we finished the whole floor.

This week in the afternoons students partook in activities such as helping out at a nearby farm and spending an evening shift in a local bakery. Both were a huge hit, especially because of all the delicious pastries!
We look forward to our exciting weekend of hiking and snorkeling near Roseau, the capital.
